Knowledge Knolling
And yes I am indeed that old Back when printers were dotmatrix and Atari STe and Amiga were the home computers in most kids bedrooms it was not uncommon to drive printer formats using embedded codes within the text to inform the printer , here comes Bold, here comes larger font, after a while PCs arrives and did pretty much the same thing until the push for WYSIWYG made the need to learn embedded codes and formatting marks a thing of the past. Quite how then there was a view to ignore what had gone before in HTML and create markdown to build text formatting in display is a question and conversation for a whole other time.
Whilst theres a plethora of cheat sheets and tutorials on the topic I noted that Webdev simplified published a new article on the topic; interestingly they didn't cover how you might include a link to that media but then I guess people would say this is a format for text handling , in which case why include handling of images and not video as well ?
