Week Two for Solo September

Week Two : Star Trek Adventures : Captains log .

Day eight Sunday and a chance to be in the workshop and paintinging miniatures and with it a mind towards Stargrave Joseph A Mcullough revisits his system designed for Frostgrave and translates, adapts, and casts it into the deep Science Fiction Future of a Galaxy torn apart by war with many thousands of independent bands scouring what is left behind. As with Frostgrave this system has been adapted for narrative and solo gameplay as well as co-operative or competitive play. The following days solo suggestion provides much of what you might want to create a star grave terrain and experience as well.

Day nine The Corespace system arrives with all you need to "comeplte the loop" in gameplay with terrain, miniatures, tokens, dice and campaign narrative which delivers a solo game experience that feels like when you first discovered gaming Corespace. The Corespace or Firstborn box sets along with the numerous boxes and expansions are supported by a passionate and helpful online community.

Day ten That Joseph A Mcullough is at it again with Napoleonic Gothic Horror with Silver Bayonet Possibly the best example of to see how this may be played is to go watch the Chris Peach Peachy Tips - Episode 1 Sharpes Wolf play through his own Narrative solo game play experience using Silver Bayonet and his own passion for Bernard Cornwell Sharpes Rifles.

Day eleven Five Parsecs From Home Much in the same vein as Corespace or Stargrave Five Parsecs delivers a chance to assemble a small warband and build your own campaigns and skirmishes as a solo wargamer.

Day twelve The Doomed Want a table top skirmishing game focusse on a series of campaigns that encourages you to kitbash and create your own miniatures. This one is on my bookshelf awaiting me to play and hopefully .

Day thirteen Rise RISE A game of Spreading Evil is a wonderfully easily realised game of drawing cards making rooms and planning evil. Another great creation from Anna Blackwell .

Day fourteen Fabled Lands The possibility of a choose your own adventure book which is at once an open world and also a narrative campaign amazed me ; This one is old school and new at the same time.

If you want to see the games I have mentioned so far with links to where you can find out more then follow the published Google Doc sheet where im daily updating the links to Solo RPGs as part of the Solo September Plan .
